There are 48 teams entered in the Vanderbilt
Knockout Teams. In today’s opening round there
are two byes. Nine head-to-head matches pit seeds
3 through 11 against seeds 40 through 48. The
remaining 28 teams, seeds 12 through 39, are in
seven four-way matches.

第一轮 1/2种子轮空，3~11对阵40~48（负队出局），12~39互怼
第二轮胜队轮空，12~39互怼的负队（共14队）再互怼，产生32队
第三轮 32进16
第四轮 16进8
第五轮 8进4
第六轮半决赛

Vanderbilt final: Rosenthal vs. Gupta
The squads captained by Andrew Rosenthal and Vinita Gupta will face each other in today’s final of the Vanderbilt Knockout Teams. In ths semifinal round, Rosenthal (Aaron Silverstein, Chris Willenken, Jan Jansma, Boye Brogeland and Christian Bakke) defeated Warren Spector’s team, 125–93, in a contest where Rosenthal led throughout the match. In the other bracket, Gupta (Morten Bilde, Simon Cope, Emil Jepsen and Andreas Meister) eliminated Sylvia Moss and company, 138–102, Gupta led the match at the end of each quarter of play.
